Malacanang of the North/ Malacanang Ti Amianan: Paoay, Ilocos Norte - this became the official residence of the Marcoses.

How are you, Sir? (The image of the former President Ferdinand Marcos)
After our quick stop at the Malacanang of the North...the famous Paoay Church greeted us. This reminds me of the province's tourism branding "Paoay Kumakaway" lol.
This is the Luna family's ancestral house. Who doesn't know Juan Luna? The famous painter (The Spoliarium) and his equally famous brother, General Antonio Luna.
One of Ilocos Sur's most visited attractions, the Baluarte is Gov. Chavit Singson's (a known animal lover) brainchild. Here locals and visitors will get the chance to mingle with different kinds of animals.
Welcome to the Heritage City of Vigan in Ilocos Sur. Indeed, this is the place to go if you want to reconnect with culture and heritage. Their most famous attraction is the cobblestone street of Calle Crisologo. The well preserved ancient houses and structures along the entire stretch of the street, makes one wonder whether he has traveled back in time.
Arcs such as these are common sights in the Ilocos Region. Almost every municipality, City or even Barangays (seriously) have these.
The domeless belltower of the Bacarra church. Two major earthquakes damaged its upper portion. But despite its sorry state, this eventually led to more tourists visiting the site.
Cape Bojeador lighthouse offers a magnificent view of the West Philippine Sea
The road leading to another famous destination, Kapurpurawan Rock Formation.
Truly a wonder of nature. This site will leave you breathless. Kapurpurawan is such a splendid sight. Be prepared to walk a few hundred meters though before reaching the area. Or you may try horseback riding to get to the rock formation.
It's more "FAN" in the Philippines. A trip to Ilocos isn't complete without visiting the Bangui windmills. 20 towering structures along the Bangui Bay providing almost 60 percent (I've been told) electricity to the entire province. This is a feat in itself, being the first windmill in Southeast Asia.
Pagudpud is considered as Boracay of the North.
Apart from swimming, this is a perfect place for surfing as well.
An engineering marvel. The 1.3km Patapat Viaduct links Ilocos Norte to Cagayan Valley.
Yes! Indeed we saved the best for last! The Paoay sand dunes experience wouldn't be complete without the 4x4 ride and sand boarding adventure. An attraction you can't find anywhere else in the country.
