Marco Polo Experience

Considered Cebu City's finest, the Marco Polo is Cebu's only five-star hotel.

So this wonderful opportunity came when I chanced upon this certain website's promotional room rate, I just had to grab that once in a lifetime opportunity to book at Marco Polo.

Marco Polo is located in Nivel Hills in Barangay Lahug. The hotel offers the most spectacular view of the city's skyline.

Two thumbs up for the 5 star experience!

Marco Polo's magnificent Christmas Tree of Hope. This has become a yearly tradition of the hotel. People get to donate cash which will benefit cancer patients and children beneficiaries of the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

Happy Holidays! -bratpacker-

That Bora Dream

Admit it, we all dreamt of going to Boracay and experience the country's most famous beach. Thanks to yet another promo fare, and this time we were lucky to catch the cheapest price since Bora trips are the most sought after. Just a few minutes in their promo sale, piso fares will instantly cease to be replaced with their regular rates.

Touchdown at the Caticlan airport. Small yet very modern airport located in Malay, Aklan.

Piso fare fanatics and laagan society honorary members.

No wonder Boracay is one of the most sought after destinations in the country. Who can say No to its pristine white sand?

Finally, stepped foot this splendid island. Boracay is such a beauty.

This is where we stayed, the Boracay Peninsula in Station 2, a beachfront resort.

When we visited, the winds blew so hard because of a weather disturbance nearing the country. But this did not stop us from enjoying the island destination.

Island hopping activity on our 2nd day in Boracay. This was taken at Crystal Cove island.

As Saint Agustine said, "The world is a book and those who do not travel only read one page"

Catmon ❤

We were treated to a splendid weekend getaway in the beautiful municipality of Catmon in Northern Cebu.

Welcome to a marvelous sanctuary owned by Schurch Family. The concept is patterned after the attractions in Santorini, Greece.

The magnificent view of the sea, from our room. Wish i could stay here more often. The sunrise will surely greet your morning with a smile :)

Meet my travel buddies who share the same passion when it comes to travel and adventure. In short, mga laagan hehe :)

Right now, I'm just drooling over these pictures. Sumptuous food prepared by Ma'am Merly, our gracious host.

House Party. Indeed, it was a memorable night.

Until my next adventure! :-) -bratpacker-

Gift Giving

In the spirit of Christmas, as part of "Serbisyong Tinud-anay" of GMAً's Eastern and Central Visayas' local morning program, Buena Mano Balita, the show mounted an outreach program in Alaska, Mambaling for 100 badjao students of Alaska Elementary School in Cebu City.

Meet our very own Santa, "Santa Yuri"

Before the gift giving, the students had so much fun dancing the BMB dance craze, Good Morning Butanding Dance

Toys for the kids...

Santa Yuri's Angels (weh!?) BMB's Associate Producer, Flor Orozco; Yours truly; Demar Yan, our Floor Director and Merill Paras, our volunteer that day.

The actual gift giving

Seeing the kids' smiles made our day. Christmas is indeed more special if we share with the less fortunate. But hopefully, these acts will not only last during the holiday season but all throughout the year. Happy Holidays!
